Rise in Love

Two people fall in love, two unite, double in passion and two separate. What explains that beautiful abandoned red rose so carelessly thrown away to the mercy of winds and rain? A psychological explanation of the oedipal, the narcissist or the Electra suffices the intellect. Or maybe the existentialist 'free commitment", perhaps each just didn't mean enough to the other not to let go. Or maybe Lust impersonated  as Love. Or maybe the young are curious for the ever new and so thwart the too familiar. Or maybe just a boredom with the easily available. Or perhaps it is just the verbal deficit, the linguist's fault of employing a negative verb. Would two people  have  loved enough not to fall away and apart, if it had been "Rise in love" and not "fall". Whatever, what explains  those ripples of  memory that come together and dissolve further into endless circles? And what explains your irresistible need to watch the ripples form outside as much as they do within you?And finally what makes you stop, give a sidelong glance at the abandonment and then walk on as if you didn't know a rose is beautiful? Perhaps in that ability to walk on you know you did"fall in love" and in those endless ripples you do "rise in love".

All possible reasons for fall of love brought intellectually in a logical way.Probably the lovers are not connected by heart and soul.
It takes time to understand, but still it is a lovely post.

  4. Thank you for the comment. The controversy remains if it is the head over the heart. Did you read the article in The Hindu "THE SHRINKING UNIVERSE:A head for romance" by VIJAY NAGASWAMI on the topic?
