Am brown, black hair, almost flat nose
Not Chinese, India Govt. rubber-stamped me Indian,
But I am still me
Speak languages
No not linguist, just learnt one
To fight, one to study, one for others to call me names
And one for survival.
But I understand only mine
Genealogy to any monkey you can trace
But I am still me
People are big, so big
They write big books, big ideas, big worlds
history, geography, historiography
Geopolitics
Words too convoluted for me
I cant map, I cant locate capital
can fairly map my memory
grades,ranks,coins, notes
dismiss interest
cows, pigs, dogs, cats
half eaten pencils, chocolate wrappers
Thrill me and
I am still Me.
Lollypop,U will be U. That's your special gift. I bet you still prefer chocolates to certificates. The rest of us busy with bills to pay, you still can dream like a child, write like an adult.I envy your mind at times.
ReplyDeleteyes...you will always be you...no one can steal that from you...that natural gift of child like view on life...the way you can alternate as artist of deepest thoughts and still find the joy only a child can in things most adults just pass by.
