My father bought me a bicycle
So shiny, so fast, so quick
I hugged him so, he lost a breath.
It rides well, shiny bars and all
A yellow horn and all red
I can cycle fast; I will do the ‘honk’ ‘honk’
My brave dad will make the brakes
I can’t do both, so he will help me.
I will grow big, riding it
My father will buy a new one, bigger
And I will hug him hard
And we will cycle all the way
Singing a song, my dad and I,
All the way to heaven.

This was written before my father bought me a bicycle. Writing it made me feel I had one. I loved cycling but was bad at it.
