Dark clouds shroud the skies

The bird twitters “no more...”

Wearied by its fancied struggle

And me an ‘idiot’

Too twitter “no more…”

Defeated by my frantic search

To find love in the lady.

Unrelated sentiments I craved

And the harvest I reap.

A fool am I

To hope for love

In a world

Empty of its very breath

And in people

Ignorant of its essence

Betrayal had visited me yesterday

And visits me today

So will he tomorrow.

The fiery hope in me

Had blinded me

To notice the specks of hatred

In those enchanting eyes

To discern the malice

In her soothing words

I’ve relinquished my hopes

 I bled in the past

And I bleed in the present

So will I bleed….forever!

Life, tell me now, if am erroneous

 In calling death.
