Why do you treat me different?
Apart from the other babies you grew?
You see the determined agony
In my cold, frozen eyes,
And then dislike my anxiety.
How can you sieve the outer and the inner?
When did you drift so far?
To forget my inner eye
And try to teach me to see
Pride in pretentious promises
That can satiate the body
And kill the spirit.
How can you despise my tears?
Well knowing to be the only being,
Who knew how and when I broke.
You tell me, I cling too fast
To unnecessary cause.
But did you look back
Toss your mind, recall
I fought it all alone
And only later cringed
For your support and sought another.
I do not need money, time and energy
I need your companionship and understanding.
