When you dream you may risk a nightmare

When you love you may risk being unloved

When you toil you may risk being defeated

When you scale heights you may risk a fall

When you smile you may risk a tear

When you trust you may risk a betrayal

When you decide to live you may risk being killed

When you survive you  may risk death

When you give in your all you may risk losing it all

And yet

And yet

If you don’t risk, you’ll never know

The feel of being human

If you don’t risk you ‘ll never know

To sense nor enjoy

The happiness in a missed smile

Nor

The strength in a held tight heart

If you don’t risk

All you have is an existence mundane , safe, comfort zone

Unless you risk you’ll never know who you really are.
