The golden feel of a heart swept January.
A heart that had stiffened the last years
through ruts laid, lived through.
A smile that flickered
across human lips .
A smile that slipped swift
across cold cutlery, cold feet and settled within to defeat a stiffness.
A smile returned across too
with a spontaneity that had lived within before bruise and stiffness settled
in.
A kindness that had the
grace of a face from the past.
A grace that could make the
heart conscious of the fine rustle of life at its fullest.
A smile that never believed
in loud laughter.
A smile that learnt to live
a silence till one smile across reached over to spell loud a thought.
A spelt thought that broke
the comfort of the quietness in a smile.
And then….
All smiles stopped.
