 A certain indifference settles in after a cartload of pain.

When sorrows too many in number grow, the human spirit seeks resilience.

It is easier to forget when you play willing a game of destiny.

You learn to suffice in perhaps you reaped a consequence.

But when you suffer agony for another's sin, perhaps that is when you undergo the darkest of despair.

And yet it remains that it is through the darkest of despair the human spirit shall refine itself to its highest strength.

You learn to accept someone you trusted, someone you looked upto made a conscious choice at your expense.

You learn to let go of a dream you held close to your heart for it never mattered to the one you held it for.

You learn to accept that your life didn't mean anything beyond a gaming of courteous nods.

You just know a dream died within the way a certain indifference at signs you learnt to once trust in.
