Hazily, I walk by the river
With my sole companion,
A heart heavy,
As memories of him, whom
I adored with innocent love,
Reminds me of love’s deceit.
The magic in his smile
Was heaven’s magic to me.
But love’s blind
And blind was I,
A girl innocent of the world,
In loving a man, who
Ignorant of true love,
Broke my heart’s loyalty to love.
Like shattered glass it lay
As he strode over it.
My
world of fantasy was gone.
Realized
I what life was,
Tears
glistened my eyes,
And
I hated ‘love’
So,
hazily I walk
With
a heavy heart.
Chasing
my joy,
Searching
for true love,
The
sun sinks slowly,
The
flowers seem dubious,
As
I struggle to placate my heart.
But
the haze continues,
And continues…
