It was now harder to walk into a familiarity that had long ceased to be. The entire cycle had a pattern. It began with an aloneness that walked out with a stranger’s kindness, it ended with another kind of aloneness that walked in with a stranger’s indifference. A sense of comfort had long since gone. And it was in a way comfort that grey wisp stopped with watching a game of the gods unfold before him. Grey Wisp perhaps would be the only one to know that first moment of a recognition of a destiny. And perhaps that is why a sense of fraternity lay in his ways. That quiet knowledge when he noticed a certain pair of eyes hunting for one destined to touch alife that would never be the same again. Perhaps grey wisp’s smiling wisdom held not just a recognition of something almost imperceptible but also an understanding of a destiny that would play its role.
