Sometimes...

Sometimes it is the irony of life that it is the people you trust most who hurt the most.
Maybe looked at this idea a little logically, it also means it is only when you invest your willing emotions in the other that you also create room for being hurt.
And then you also experience a vague sense of the hurt when people who you don't know much yet seemed to be known enough dabble with your sense of personhood.
The error again lies perhaps in that expectation you placed or the trust you offered willingly.
People may hurt for many a reason.
Sometimes it could be when you fall short to do what they want of you or it could be when they fail to do what you expected them to.
You learn to store such hurt away, learn to push it to the recesses of the mind so that you can survive the journey onward.
But what kind of hurt do you write off?
You need to write off the ones who hurt you with deliberate effort, the kind that tries to do it just with the intention of wanting to see you react with pain.
No healthy relationship will want to inflict hurt consciously whether physical, mental or emotional.
