Amiss

I reach you
Battered within
I cross uncrossed borders
Barriers of mind
Boundaries of heart
I seek solace
In unquestioned faith
I seek none
To sanction my trust
Yet you alter yours
Amidst a myriad views
I almost hold to life
Just as you abrupt
Push me away
I step back midway
Shocked, bewildered
Humiliated
I lose balance
Stagger backwards
Into chaotic waves
Speak amiss
Almost cling
A sinking oar
Then I give way within
I sense am unwanted
I find it hard
To trace familiar
paths again
Across kindness offered once
After a fall, a lapse
You find me a burden hence
        I find it painful
        To frequent the one place
        That held endless beginnings
I thought you
Walked beside me
I realize
I walked you within
While
You saw me
 a passer-by.
