I heard a presence today. A presence felt like ahealing touch.
A presence that walked beside me by noon and then spoke just behind me at twilight. Faithfully we nodded, smiled and I felt a strange sense of happiness within.
For the first time, we watched an event together.
I had almost forgotten across difficult days the tinkle of joy.
I missed at moments scenes from the stage but yet I caught my expression in his joy.
We spoke nothing yet it felt like we just crossed a lifetime together.
He was a born dad. There was something about his ways with the little girl beside him as if every gesture spelt affection, kindness and the gentle spirit. The kindness he showed me was not much different.
I wondered whether he missed his wife and child. He didn't bring them to the event.
We met at destiny's feet. Queries and answers seldom matched because silence spoke more.
He smiled again and I just found through one of my tough times that happiness was just around the corner.
