A query formed years ago ,when I huddled with a little friend holding uncanny fairytales between bony little knees.
My companion whispered, "Beings with crooked noses, broom flying"
I grew up looking for witches on brooms that flew only inside the country of the mind.
Later, though I discovered an answer to a query formed years ago.
A witch could be any woman with straight features but with a crooked mind, a crooked heart and a wretched soul.
