Today dining dined through a kaleidoscope. A myriad coloured people all at once.
Sickly rakes almost sabotaged a fair appetite. He was raking objects  today  as if he was the best rake on earth. I saw hatred and frustration in his eyes and I knew the source of both. It was the same kind of coloured emotions I saw in gawky eyed Giant Locks. Surviving them is more bugging than surviving  a bad weather.  A free opportunity given both would love to finish me to an end by any means fair or foul.
The only solace was the presence of musical chair and silent sage. Musical chair was busy mixing all possible dishes in his plate as if  he was making a rainbow and humming a tune away as if he knew what was hidden behind veiled eyes. Silent sage was sans his orange overalls but sat quiet as ever opposite humming musical chair. It was difficult to believe silent sage could speak so much as to ask my pal to recite a poem.
Their presence woke up an absence I missed. A kindness I treasured. A presence that I felt whizz by the morning down the road with a little souvenir obviously of his commitment. A presence that so rapid whizzed, to be yet certain. But then I felt a presence that was stronger than the seen.
Not surprising; ambiguity was the only certainty for two most polite strangers who met at destiny's feet.
