Nameless -esence

I remember the coldness  I stepped in
with
I remember cold cutlery
Beside coldness of strangers yet
And I remember the silent presence
Of a warm smile, an unknown self
yet a presence , unknowingly
 smiled
away a cold wave
A presence I knew not
A presence that knew not me
yet
what gave me
 A strength strange
in
  moments of aloneness
A presence that knew not me
Nor I
Yet an absence I missed
When sudden n long
a momentary return
just to hold to
A stranger's gestures
warm and kind
treasured in gratitude.
