Grown doubtful images of the past
Growing, restless images futuristic.
Images, clatter, clang, unceasing,
Of ruling power, mighty,
Yet, insensible finesse.
On thinking minds praise, prostrate,
Light lamps, fast in penance,
Before a thoughtless power,
Thoughtful enough to vitalize
My prowess to demean it
In expression of images
Floating thro’ me.
