The sailor's pirate: A dream reverie

The sailor's pirate: A dream reverie

Across sea waves that swept all that lay in the path...... the sailor sailed to his dream girl. She was quiet and not quiet he felt. The smiles were hidden beneath the weighing sorrow and he longed to make her smile again. But his journey was long and his work cumbersome. He had commitments, a promise to keep with somebody and yet he knew, he sensed that her world had changed forever with his entry.
Destiny...it was their tryst with destiny...the sailor wanting to reciprocate and the pirate unable to give in or let go.
Destiny.... he held his pirate's hand and the little fingers drove him crazy but he was quick to tell her they were ugly and fat. Not the fingers of his type.
He hated her for loving him. she was just a pirate and pirates were to be captured not to be loved. His authorities waited for him, his promises lay behind him and his only need was to stop the smile he had made. He knew that as he drove his knife across, she would die not from the stab but from the pain of knowledge that it was her sailor.

Destiny.... he waited till it was sunset in her life... when she would be too tired to see through the darkness...when daybreak would only give her the confused bits of a life goneby...when he could fool her into thinking it was not he but a passer by.......
what he did not realize was she was his pirate.....that a pirate knows the captor from the savior.

Destiny.... he walked to his ship seeing the waters blue go red ....a crimson red like the first blush on her cheeks that he nurtured.......
