Fate and luck bear the brunt.
We lose and fate suffers
Our abuse and reprimand.
On our laurels we sing
And luck’s taken by surprise
At the cursing mind’s,
Sudden floral tributes on victory.
When our neighbour wins
Again luck’s heralded
Though in contemptuous terms
When he loses
Fate’s welcomed by us.
