I never could master the skills of riding a bicycle..... I could pedal it at top speed but i was always scared to apply brakes. Such quaint disasters happen if you have naughty siblings who use the softness of your head. My brother considered himself the self proclaimed leader...if anyone in the gang spoke against his decisions they were immediately isolated. That is how i was always an outcast. I refused to follow his rules of the game. And he knew it but I was silently defiant and ours was a roller coaster relationship as far as bossy brother and defiant sister were in play. So when my brother understood i had fear of falling off a bicycle he decided to have his day. He told me "I am there to hold you so cycle fast ... ZOOM... think of the speed" I got thrilled and fooled and so started cycling.
He waited by the gate watching me start my cycling spree but i failed to see that wicked naughty glint in his eyes. I started cycling the circular ground and after three rounds i was tired and so i started calling out to him " Help me stop" My benevolent malevolent brother called out "stop what" I was vexed at the repeated requests and his completely malicious reply... Finally he took out his cycle and was cycling beside me. I said " My feet hurt... help me stop" " Ha..ha " he said "now watch me. I will feel the speed and then help you stop" So i kept pedalling watching my"all powerful" brother race on his cycle.
I felt tears of fatigue and helplessness and then i heard the crashing sound. I looked ahead and saw my brother almost somersaulting like a circus whiz... but as i saw him land flat i realized he had lost control hit a sandy heap and that it was my"all powerful" brother cyclist watching me with a crestfallen shocked face at me. He got up and walked towards me and held my much slowed down cycle.
"Don't you tell anyone" he said with a very stern but hurt look. "Oh yeah" I said but i knew my only way to heal my aching feet would be to inform the one and only man who knew to handle this bossy brother... my dad. So i did.
